Sweet Platter for Every Occasion

Preparation Time: 5 minutes | Cook Time: 18 minutes


Ingredients

For the Sweets:

2 cups Snowflake Cake Wheat Flour

½ cup melted ghee

¾ cup icing sugar

⅓ cup milk powder (gently cooked with 1 Tbsp ghee for 3 minutes)

½ tsp cardamom powder

¼ cup almonds

¼ cup cashew nuts

Method

  • Heat 1 tbsp ghee in a heavy-bottomed vessel. Gently fry cashew nuts on low-medium heat until golden brown. Remove and place in a bowl.
  • In the same ghee, gently fry almonds on low heat for 3 minutes. Remove and add to the bowl with cashew nuts.
  • Melt and warm the remaining ghee. Add flour and cook on low heat, stirring continuously until it browns, about 30-35 minutes.
  • Remove the roasted flour to a wide plate and let cool slightly.
  • In the same pan, add 1 Tbsp ghee and cook milk powder for 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat.
  • Grind the roasted cashew nuts and almonds into a coarse powder. Add to the roasted flour along with icing sugar. Mix to combine.
  • Finally, add cardamom powder and gently mix. Shape the mixture into small lemon-sized balls, garnishing with nuts on top.
