Preparation Time: 10 minutes | Total Time: 25 minutes

Ingredients

For the Dough:

350g Snowflake Cake Wheat or white bread wheat flour

4 tsp Snowflake Baking Powder

1 1/2 tsp salt

1 1/2 tsp sugar

22ml olive oil

250ml water, room temperature

For the Toppings:

Napoletana-style pizza sauce

100g mozzarella cheese, grated

100g pepperoni or salami slices

Rocket, basil, or celery leaves (for the carrot top)

Extra mozzarella cheese (for the eyes)

Black olive slices (for the pupils)

Method

    Prepare the Dough:

  • Preheat oven to 250°C
  • Preheat the oven to 250°C, placing the shelf on the upper rack. Lightly oil the pizza pan or baking tray.
  • In a large bowl, combine the Snowflake Flour, Snowflake Baking Powder, salt, and sugar.
  • Add the olive oil and water to the dry ingredients and mix with a rubber spatula until the flour is incorporated.
  • Dust the work surface with extra flour and then tip the dough out. Knead the dough for 3-4 minutes until smooth and elastic, adding more flour only if necessary.
  • Divide the dough into two portions, shape each into a ball, and roll each ball into a 30 cm disc.
  • Transfer the dough to a pizza pan or baking tray and stretch it out from the centre to fill the pan. Avoid pinching the edges.
  • Spread a layer of pizza sauce over the dough, leaving the edges free for the crust.
  • Sprinkle a generous amount of shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
  • Place the pepperoni or salami slices on the pizza, spreading them evenly.
  • Bake the pizza for around 10 minutes or until the edges are crisp and golden.

  • Slice and Decorate the Pizza to Look Like a Carrot:

  • Once the pizza is out of the oven and still warm, it’s time to create the carrot shape.
  • Slice the pizza into 8-12 equal slices. Arrange leaves for the “top” of the carrot. For the smiley face, use small mozzarella balls to make two round eyes, leaving a small space between them.
  • Use black olives to create the pupils in the eyes, and thin slices to create a mouth.
