Cinnamon snackers

 



Preparation Time: 3 Minutes

Cook Time: 10 - 12 minutes

Serves: Makes about 20

Cinnamon snackers

Ingredients

125g butter or margarine, softened

80ml (65 g) light brown sugar

5ml vanilla essence

310ml (175 g) Snowflake brown bread flour

1ml salt

1  extra-large egg

Topping

45ml light brown sugar

5ml ground cinnamon

Method

  • Cream butter and sugar together. Add egg and essence and beat well until light and creamy.
  • Sift flour and salt together and add to creamed mixture. Add bran left behind in the sieve and mix to form a soft dough.
  • Topping: Mix sugar and cinnamon together.
  • Roll dough into heaped teaspoon-sizes balls and then roll in topping mixture.
  • Place balls onto greased baking trays and press down lightly with a fork. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C for 10 - 12 minutes. Turn out onto a wire rack to cool. Store in an airtight container.
