Citrus sauce

 



Preparation Time: 3 Minutes

Cook Time: 5 Minutes

Serves: Makes about 375 ml

Serve with baked puddings.

Ingredients

250ml water

45ml sugar

10ml grated lemon or orange rind

30ml fresh lemon juice

30ml fresh orange juice

45ml butter or margarine

20ml Snowflake cornflour or Snowflake vanilla custard powder

Method

  • Place water, sugar, lemon rind, juice and butter into a sauce-pan and bring to the boil. Stir until sugar dissolves.
  • Dissolve cornflour in a little water and add to sauce. Boil for a few minutes until thick, stirring constantly. Serve warm.
