Classic Chocolate Chip Cookies

 



Preparation Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 8-10 minutes

Serves: 36

Crispy edges. Chewy middle. Chocolatey good. These cookies are an all-time classic, a rainy day essential and deliciously moreish. Our advice? Bake two batches - they won't last long!

Ingredients

300g Snowflake Cake Wheat Flour

225g Salted Butter, softened

220g Packed Brown Sugar

100g Granulated Sugar, white or brown

2  Large Eggs

2  tsp Vanilla Extract

200g Chocolate Chips

1  tsp Snowflake Baking Powder

1  tsp Salt

Method

  • Preheat oven to 180ºC
  • Line two baking sheets with baking paper
  • Beat butter and sugars in a bowl until creamy
  • Add vanilla extract and egg and beat
  • Sift Snowflake Cake Wheat Flour, baking powder and salt into the bowl, and mix
  • Add chocolate chips and mix well
  • Scoop the mixture onto the baking trays with a teaspoon, well-spaced
  • Bake for 12-14 mins until light brown on the edges and slightly soft in the centre when pressed
  • Cool on the tray for two minutes before transferring to a cooling rack
