Crispy, crunchy and an all-time favourite

Ingredients

4  slices white bread, cut into small cubes

45ml butter, melted

2  cloves garlic, crushed (optional)

15ml chopped fresh parsley or 5 ml dried

Method

  • Mix bread with melted butter, garlic and parsley.
  • Turn out onto a baking tray and toast in a preheated oven at 200 °C for about 15 minutes, turning often until golden brown and crisp. This can also be done in a large, heavy-based frying pan on the stove top.
  • Serve with any soup.
