Seasonal Peach Cobbler

Serves: 6

Whether it's warm or cool outside, this delicious peach cobbler is an ideal family dessert. Make it easily with Snowflake Cake Wheat Flour, Snowflake Baking Powder and accompany with velvety and delicious Snowflake Custard! Fresh, seasonal peaches are ideal!

Ingredients

For the Cobbler:

1  Cup Snowflake Cake Wheat Flour

1  half teaspoon Snowflake Baking Powder

60g Butter

1  Cup Sugar

1  teaspoon Vanilla Extract

1  Cup Milk

2  Cups Fresh Peaches, sliced (1 tin of peaches (drained) can be substituted.)

1  half a teaspoon Salt

For the Custard:

1  Make the desired quantity of Snowflake custard but substitute milk in the on-pack instructions with fresh cream for a thicker, more luxurious custard.

Method

  • Preheat oven to 180ºC degrees
  • Butter an oven-proof serving dish or cast iron skillet, and put in the hot oven to melt butter.
  • Meanwhile, combine flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl.
  • Add the milk, sugar, and vanilla and stir to combine into a batter.
  • Remove the hot dish with melted butter from oven. Spoon the peaches into the dish and pour the batter over the peaches.
  • Bake for 45 minutes or until golden brown until brown
  • Cool slightly and serve with warm custard.
