The perfect way to end a family dinner.

Ingredients

60ml (50 g) sugar

60ml (25 g) cocoa powder, sifted

80ml (60 g) Snowflake semolina

500ml milk

5ml vanilla essence

125ml fresh cream, whipped

Method

  • Combine sugar, cocoa powder and semolina.
  • Heat milk in a medium, heavy-based saucepan. Add a little of the heated milk to semolina mixture and mix well. Pour back into saucepan and cook over medium heat for about 2 minutes, until mixture starts to bubble and becomes thick.
  • Remove from heat, add essence and transfer mixture to a mixing bowl. Cover surface of mixture with plastic wrap to prevent a skin from forming. Leave to cool, stirring occasionally.
  • Fold in whipped cream, using a metal spoon, and refrigerate until set.
