Quick and tasty.

Ingredients

250g Snowflake Easymix scone (375 ml)

250ml (100 g) grated cheddar cheese

3ml cayenne pepper

1ml ground cumin

30ml chopped fresh coriander or parsley

30ml cooking oil

100ml milk or water

Method

  • Place premix into a mixing bowl. Add cheese, cayenne pepper, cumin and coriander.
  • Lightly beat oil and milk together. Add to premix and mix with a spoon. Turn out onto a lightly floured surface and mix to a stiff dough. Roll out onto a lightly floured surface into a rectangular shape of about 28 x 34 cm and 3 mm thick.
  • Cut into strips of 14 cm long and 2.5 cm wide. Cut each strip in half, lengthwise and twist the two strips together. Place onto greased baking trays, about 1 cm apart.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C for 10 - 12 minutes or until starting to turn golden brown.
